SCOUTING REPORT: Budmir & Barella as Inter change strategy

Inter are to change their strategy. After years of buying players who have failed to live up to their expectation, Thohir and the club are to change course. The reference model is of course Juventus, who have launched the careers of Rugani, Mandragora, Sensi, Lapadula, Ganz and Caprari.

YOUNGSTERS UNDER THE EYES OF THE NERAZZURRI
The latest name to come under the radar is midfielder Nicolò Barella owned by Cagliari but out on loan at Como. The player has great vision and great technique attributes that have won him the player of the year award (in the category for players born in 1997) two years running. Currently playing in the Under 19 national team, he will return to Sardinia in the summer to start his first season in the top-flight next year. Inter have no intentions of losing out to Juventus and have made preliminary enquiries to Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini with whom they have an optimum rapport.

Another product from Serie B that Inter follows closely is Crotone striker Ante Budimir, whose goals have helped propel the Calabrian club to an historic first promotion to Serie A. Interest from the nerazzurri has been confirmed by the players agent who recently stated that; “Enquires from other clubs has really please Ante but as of yet we have not received any offers”. Once again, Thohir must try to beat off opposition from Turin. As if to prove their intention to take a different road, Inter have also expressed interest in Verona midfielder Federico Viviani, currently still owned by Roma.
