Sevilla back in race for €20m Arsenal striker
The striker has only played 21 games for the Gunners this season, scoring seven goals in total. Unfortunately, only one of those strikes has come in the Premier League in just eleven appearances, leading the Spaniard to pine for a return to his home country.
The former Deportivo La Coruna striker has been sought out by the Rojiblancos, who already tried to sign him last year, at least until Arsenal nabbed him on deadline day for €20 million.
Negotiations between Lucas Pérez and Sevilla were at an advanced stage last year but a deal was never reached and Arsenal stepped in to snap the player up for €20 million euros just before deadline day.
The Mirror reported a few weeks ago that Arsenal were already willing to offload Perez, and that PSG were very much in the race. Unai Emery was linked to Perez back in his Sevilla days, but his departure brought the talks to a halt, seeing as Jorge Sampaoli wasn’t as interested.
Perez managed 17 Liga goals for Deportivo before moving to Arsenal last summer.
