Silvio Berlusconi holds meeting with Galliani and Sacchi to decide AC Milan’s future manager

What were Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani and Arrigo Sacchi talking about during the lunch-time meeting they held in Arcore today?

Well-informed sources insist the subject of today’s meeting was AC Milan’s future manager, given that Sinisa Mihajlovic will not be confirmed as the Rossoneri boss next season.

But why was Arrigo Sacchi involved despite not covering any official role at the club?

The former Italy and AC Milan coach is one of those counselors Berlusconi trust the most, so much so the club’s owner would like to involve Sacchi in the AC Milan’s project next season.

Berlusconi’s eager to hire Sacchi as a sort of right-hand man of Christian Brocchi, the man Berlusconi would like to take over at the club.

However, Adriano Galliani believes a more experienced manager would be more suitable for the Rossoneri’s bench. Marcello Lippi and Eusebio Di Francesco top the club’s CEO wish-list.
Questioned over today’s meeting, Galliani denied it was concerning AC Milan’s future coach.

‘It was only a reunion between old friends, we did not talk about today’s AC Milan’, he told Corriere.it.

A decision on Mihajlovic’s future will be only taken after the Coppa Italia final, but should the Diavoli fail to beat Juve and win their first trophy since 2010, the Serbian tactician will be shown the San Siro exit door.
