Spalletti on Roma draw: 'We forced ourselves too much'

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has revealed that trying too hard costed them all three points in the 2-2 draw against Inter Milan earlier today.

In what was an entertaining game, Roma came back from behind twice to grab a point against Inter. Inter did lead twice, one through Keita Balde and then through Mauro Icardi. But Roma scored through a Cengiz Under stunner and a Aleks Kolarov penalty to get a deserved point.

Following the game, Spalletti was talking the post-game press conference and he was asked about what went wrong for the nerazzurri in Rome.

The Italian said: "What was missing? More than one thing, we forced several things. We found playing very tough again Roma.

"At a certain point if we had more dribbles, we could have done better. Roma have often taken the game away from us, but the teams have played a very good race and in my opinion the point is useful for both.

"It makes both of them believe that they are working in the right direction."

The draw means that Inter have allowed Napoli to get a lead ahead of them at second in the league, as they play their game tomorrow.
