Spalletti warns ‘drunken’ Inter ahead of Napoli clash

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti talked to assembled media on Friday afternoon, on the eve of the crucial Serie A clash against Napoli.

“Games like the derby can make the team a little ‘drunken’. It’s important to be humble and keep our feet on the ground. We must be good to beat Napoli, there is no simple solution. We must be brave and give everything we have.”

“We’d like to play as good as Napoli but at the moment we are not at their level. My players have already made several exams and if we are at this point it means we are enough prepared. We know it’s not going to be an easy game.”

“Moratti is right, we must dream of the scudetto. I was happy to see him at the end of the derby, his presence made us feel even more important. Napoli are a strong side, an amazing team and they are really hard to beat. We’ll have to limit them. If Sarri had not left his job in the bank he would have been the minister of economy.”

“We have just reached this level, Napoli have been playing amazingly for three years. It will be tough to finish ahead of Juventus and Roma. Lazio and AC Milan are very solid too.”
