Spurs-Inter: Italian press slam Nainggolan as Eriksen shines in ratings

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Inter Milan 1-0 at Wembley Stadium last night, with Christian Eriksen scoring the only goal in a narrow win for Pochettino’s side. Inter managed to stay resolute until the 80th minute, giving Spurs a good game but ultimately the North London club had the better chances and kept their Champions League hopes alive accordingly.

Tottenham, with the win over Inter, go back into 2nd place in the group, tied on 7 points with the Nerazzurri. Spalletti’s side, however, have the advantage, having to play PSV Eindhoven in their final game, with the Dutch side currently on just one point from their 5 games so far.

Barcelona are clear winners of the group, with 13 points from 5 games and going unbeaten in their matches so far. Spurs will be hoping that Barcelona field a weaker side against them, considering the game has no bearing on Barca’s final standing in Group B.
