Suso wants contract extension with AC Milan: the plan of Leonardo and Maldini

AC Milan and Suso are in talks for the player’s contract extension, Calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal. The Rossoneri want to eliminate the € 38 million clause on Suso’s current deal (it is only valid in the month of July) and the player's desire is also to extend his stay at the San Siro.

Even if Suso could sign a new contract extension in the coming weeks, AC Milan could still decide to sell him in the summer because of the Financial Fair Play. If the Rossoneri will be in need of fresh cash at the end of the season, Suso could be sacrificed but € 38 million is not a fair price-tag according to Leonardo and Maldini.

Chelsea was interested in the player but the arrival of Pulisic stopped every negotiation. There are also Spanish clubs on Suso, therefore, during the summer, his comeback to Spain could not be impossible at all. Liverpool had also been linked with their former winger but at the moment there are no official negotiations between the two clubs.

Ideally, Leonardo would sell Suso for a fee close to € 50 million and this is the reason why he will try remove the player’s release clause, in order to let him leave for an adequate amount of money.
