The decline of Joe Hart: From Premier League champion to possible Championship move

10 January at 15:40
"The hardest decision of my career was Hart's departure. These were the words of Pep Guardiola a few months ago. And since the summer of 2016, when he decided to replace the Englishman with Claudio Bravo, Joe Hart's career has only gotten worse.

The goalkeeper, who has collected 75 appearances for England throughout his career, had to leave to Torino that summer, where he conceded 64 goals in 37 matches, leaving his goal unbeaten only five times. The following season he played on loan at West Ham. There, he started as a starter, but before the halfway point of the season, he was relegated to the bench behind Spanish goalkeeper Adrian. He conceded 42 goals in 23 games in that campaign.

Last summer he was transferred to Burnley for 3.9 million euros, but things are not getting better. He has conceded 41 goals in 19 Premier League matches and the coach of his current club, Sean Dyche, has taken him out of the starting lineup in the last two matches to make way for Tom Heaton.

From England, they suggest that things could get even worse. According to the Sun, Preston, who occupy 17th position of the Championship, would have requested the player on loan, understanding that he will not have many opportunities at Burnley in the remainder of the season.
