The solar year ranking of 2018: Juventus over 100 points, Inter and AC Milan on par

The 2018 footballing year is now over, as yesterday Serie A closed its door for the year, with Juventus dominating the league once again. In the solar year of 2018, Massimiliano Allegri's team collected 101 points, collecting 53 points in the first half of this season after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Napoli is placed in the ranking of the calendar year, being the only top team to have changed their coach. 43 points were won by Maurizio Sarri in the second half of last season, while Carlo Ancelotti obtained 44, making the total of 87.

Meanwhile, cross-city rivals AC Milan and Inter are on par in the standings of the year. Spalletti's Inter collected 31 points in the second half of last season, while collecting 8 more in the first round of the current campaign, a total of 70 points. Gennaro Gattuso has collected the same amount of points, though he registered a decrease compared to his colleague, with 31 points in the current campaign and 39 in the second half of 2017/18.

City rivals from the capital are also very close to each other in the standings. Roma have collected 67 points (37 last season, 30 this season), while Lazio is showing continuity and balance, with 32 points in both parts of the year.
