Transfer news: Atletico looking to hijack AC Milan's move for Chelsea's Fabregas

05 December at 10:55
Cesc Fabregas has an expiring contract with Chelsea and will likely leave the Stamford Bridge either as a free agent or as early as in January. Other than the interest of AC Milan, teams in China and Vissel Kobe in Japan have expressed interest, but the player intends to continue in Europe, with Atletico Madrid looking to challenge the Rossoneri for the player's signature.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Atletico would be willing to wait to sign Fabregas at the end of the season as a free agent. Simeone wants to improve the midfield and sees the former Barcelona and Arsenal man as a good option.
