Transfer news: Barca star forgets Inter, Roma in pursuit?

Brazilian midfielder Rafinha spent the second half of last season on loan at Serie A outfit Inter Milan, with whom the playmaker ensured qualified for the UEFA Champions League, pipping Lazio to 4th place with a final-day victory against the Biancocelesti at the Stadio Olimpico.

Rafinha’s loan contract with Inter Milan included an obligation to buy if Inter were to qualify for the Champions League. However, Inter then began to say that the buy-out fee was too high and that they wanted to pay less. Barcelona were not willing to negotiate and left the deal, brining Rafinha back to Catalonia.

According to what has been learned by CalcioMercato, Rafinha is keen on a return to Italy, with Roma said to be courting the Brazilian, yet the Giallorossi are not prepared to pay any more than €25m for the Barcelona man. Therefore, Rafinha may choose to look beyond Italy for his next destination.
