Transfer news: Man Utd target Koulibaly set for Napoli extension, Inter continue Candreva chase

Lot of Serie A clubs are focused on their summer transfer market strategies now that each top flight European league is put on hold for International break.

As CM.com’s transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports, Napoli centr-back Kalidou Koulibaly wants to extend his contract with Napoli.

The 24-year-old defender is blazing a trail at the San Paolo this season after having struggled a bit during Rafa Benitez’s reign at Napoli last term.

Koulibaly’s performances have been so outstanding this season he has attracted the interest of the best European sides out there. Manchester Unites and Bayern Munich are believed to be the first teams to make an approach for the solid-rock central defender next summer.

Inter are also planning ahead. Their-long term target Antonio Candreva will leave Lazio at the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri had already attempted to sign the Italian winger this past January, but Lazio rejected their offer as the Biancocelesti want to cash in at least € 25 million from the player’s sale, still a bit too much for Inter’s finances.

Despite this, Roberto Mancini will still make an attempt to sign the Italy International who should replace departing Stevan Jovetic who did not lived up to his potential this term despite an encouraging start to the season.
