Transfer news: Roma watching former Arsenal man and AC Milan target

According to what has been reported by Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma are watching Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek – who is a reported target of AC Milan. Van de Beek is considered to be amongst Ajax’s current golden generation, with other stars like Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt the target of Europe’s top clubs.

Monchi likes the idea of van de Beek but he is not the only midfielder that the Giallorossi are reportedly watching. Reports from the Turkish media suggest that Roma are interested in signing Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup, who used to play for Premier League giants Arsenal and was a target of Roma’s city-rivals Lazio over the summer just gone.

Two targets for Monchi in the Italian capital but can they face off against competition to secure them – all hands on deck for Roma in the approach to January.
