Turkish clubs rival Sevilla for €20m Arsenal wantaway

Two Turkish clubs are set to rival Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla in the race to sign Lucas Perez, according to the latest reports from Spain.

The Arsenal wantaway is wanted by Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, according to Madrid paper AS.

The former are looking to replace Lukas Podolski - who is off to Japan - and the latter want to bring in a striker who will help bring them back into contention for the Turkish league.

Perez is known to prefer a return to La Liga, where he thrived up front for Depor, scoring 23 goals in 57 league fixtures.

Signed by Arsenal last summer for €20 million, he has started only two Premier League games in his career, scoring once.

Reports back in April indicated that PSG were also interested in the 28-year-old, and that Arsene Wenger wanted to get rid of the Galician in order to fund his €120 million war chest.
