UEFA president reveals VAR urgency and comments on Ramos' doping allegations

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin spoke to the microphones of Spanish newspaper AS and commented on two important topics, of which one is today's official implementation of VAR in the Champions League and Sergio Ramos' doping allegations.

"We will implement VAR already this season. We have verified that it works well and there is no reason to wait any longer. It will help reduce the errors and we will use it in all matches from January and, of course, in the Champions League final," he said.

"Ramos? There is nothing to ask. UEFA has a written confirmation, a letter from the American Anti-Doping Association which clearly states that everything was correct. It is the highest world authority in these areas and if they say everything is in order, I have nothing else to say," Ceferin added.
