van der Vaart: "Real Madrid miss Ronaldo, it is obvious"

Former Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart, who played for the club in 2008-2010, spoke to Goal about the transfer of his former teammate, Ronaldo, to Juventus.

"It is impossible to compensate for the departure of a player who scores from 40 to 50 goals per season. It is obvious that Real Madrid miss Ronaldo, what he did in the club was crazy.

"However, the team continues to have so much quality and, on closer inspection, does not need reinforcements in January. It is difficult to find a player who can help a team of this category in a winter transfer market. The players should come together to fill the gap of Ronaldo," he concluded.

During his time at the Bernabeu, he racked up a total of 73 appearances, while scoring twelve goals in the process. The left-footed creator also assisted an additional 12 goals.
