Beyond the difficult issue of using Manuel Locatelli in central midfield at the risk of him burning out, Coach Vincenzo Montella has to work out who to name as his captain.
The list is thinner than you’d think: Ignazio Abate has been benched a few times too many in favour of Davide Calabria, Carlos Bacca has only been here a year, Giacomo Bonaventura hasn’t been so hot of late…
The two big names are home-grown: we have Mattia De Sciglio (who only returned to form this season) or… Gigi Donnarumma!
Though he isn’t 18 yet, he started for the Rossoneri when he was still 16, which likely means that he can take the pressure.
He’s set to be Milan’s cover-boy for years to come, and is certainly the feel-good story that fans love the most.
