Why Bonaventura has been dropped for Milan-Lecce

AC Milan host Lecce at San Siro this evening in what is Stefano Pioli's first game as head coach of the Rossoneri. Italian midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura will not be involved in the game, the star having been left out of Pioli's squad list for the clash.

It is a precautionary measure, with Bonaventura having suffered a muscle strain potentially in his left thigh and the club doctors wishing to not aggravate it any further
