Zlatko Dalic: 'Vrsaljko injury isn't serious, he just needs rest'

The manager of the Croatian national team- Zlatka Dalic has given an update on the injury sustained by Sime Vrsaljko, saying that it isn't too serious.

Croatia were left shattered by a spirited England performance, who went a goal down early in the second half. But recovered from goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane late in the game.

Vrsaljko was taken off by Croatia in the 26th minute of the game, giving rise to suspicisions if his knee injury had returned. After the game and the relegation from the UEFA Nations League though, Zlatko Dalic was asked to give an update about the injury.

He told Dnvnik Nove TV: "He felt a pain in his leg, but it does not seem anything particularly serious. I really hope it's just a passing thing, I do not think it will stay out for a long time.

"Sime simply needs rest."

The Inter star joined the nerazzurri from Atletico Madrid on loan this past summer, after he had played a vital role in taking Croatia to the final of the FIFA World Cup, only to lose 4-2 in the final to France.
