AC Milan: Alex has signed. Inter: Ince won't join

The news item was in the air, but now it’s official: 31-year-old center back Alex Rodrigo Dias da Costa, aka Alex is a new AC Milan player: the Brazilian, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain was about to expire, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, and will earn 2,5 million euros per season. As reported earlier, the arrival of the former Chelsea player will force the rossoneri to sell abroad another non-EU citizen, but will also have another consequence: Alex will in fact play next to Adil Rami (actually on loan from Valencia but whom the Lombard club will sign on permanent basis in the next days), so it seems always more probable for 32-year-old Philippe Mexes to quit “San Siro”. Moreover, Milan are trying to renew their offensive line, and Mino Raiola, agent of 23-year-old striker Mario Balotelli, is seeking a new team for his client: to replace the Italy international, the rossoneri are thinking about Bayern Munich 28-year-old Mario Mandzukic, required by the future coach Filippo Inzaghi; on the other hand, as outlined by the Corriere dello Sport, Palermo are trying to sign 29-year old Alessandro Matri.
City rivals Inter Milan keep on seeking a new winger, but 22-year-old Tom Ince, whose contract with Blackpool is about to expire, has expressed his will to remain in England. Regarding the possible departures, 22-year-old midfielder Saphir Taider –according to La Nazione- is tracked by Fiorentina.
