No AC Milan for Lucas Lima: as previously reported by Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian midfielder will play for Palmeiras next year. Confirmation arrived from Santos president Modesto Roma Júnior, who said: “Lucas came in to tell us that he will join Palmeiras. He thanked us for his four years here, and we wished each other good luck.” So, the 27-year-old has passed up the chance of a move to Europe in favour of competing for honours in South America with Palmeiras, arguably the richest club on the continent.
