AC Milan: Biglia picks up knee injury

AC Milan midfield star Lucas Biglia has picked up a knee injury and will skip tomorrow’s Europa League clash against AEK Athens, Milan TV has claimed.

The Argentinean has not had a good start to the season so much so he was booed by his own fans when Vincenzo Montella replaced him in the second half of last week-end’s Serie A clash against Juventus.

According to the club’s official TV, Biglia has picked up an inflammation of the tendon of his knee and the club’s medical staff had to stop him during the training in order to begin medical examination straight away.

AC Milan’s medical Giancarlo Melegatti told Milan TV: “Lucas has picked up an inflammation of the tendon of his left knee, he had already had problem but being a great pro he has always been available to play. Now he feels more pain and he will have to take some time off to recover.”
