Mattia Caldara has suffered a rupture of the cruciate ligament of his knee and today he will undergo surgery at Rome's Villa Stuart. The AC Milan defender had just returned to action after an entire season spent on the sidelines and during yesterday's training session an innatural movement of his knee caused this latest injury Caldara will be operated by doctor Mariani, the same one who was in charge of the surgery of Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger a few days ago. Caldara is already in Rome and this morning he will undergo the operation.
