AC Milan: Cutrone defends Bonucci

On the eve of AC Milan’s Europa League game against Greek outfit AEK Athens, Patrick Cutrone was present in the pre-match press conference alongside rossoneri boss Vincenzo Montella.

Cutrone told reporters: “We are frustrated because we didn’t deserve to lose the derby. We are focused on doing well in the next game and reacting to the defeat in which we played very well in the second half.

“In July, I never thought I would play this much. I had to train well and impress the coach and I thank him for the confidence he gave me. I have not done anything yet. It just the beginning of my path. I want to give the most of it. I don’t feel the pressure. I’m calm and thinking about games as they come.”

When asked about Leonardo Bonucci, the young forward said: “For us, Leo is a leader. Both for the young players and the seniors. He personally helps me a lot in the field, helps me a lot and helps everyone as well.”

Cutrone was also questioned about what his best position is. The Italian said: “For me, it’s all good. Either playing with a trequarista or with another striker. It is upto the manager to decide.”
