AC Milan defender to rescind contract in January

AC Milan defender Gabriel Paletta is set to rescind his contract with the rossoneri, Sportmediaset reports. The Argentina-born defender has been struggling with game time so far this season and will be surely leaving the San Siro in the January transfer window when he will only have six months left in his contract with the Serie A giants.

The 31-year-old has only played two games with the Primavera team so far this season and has yet not played any official game with the senior team. A huge step back for a player who used to be a regular rossoneri starter last season.

The summer signings of Leonardo Bonucci and Mateo Musacchio, however, have prevented Paletta to have any game time at all and the experienced defender is now going to leave AC Milan.

AC Milan will try to sell Paletta as soon as the winter transfer window begins. If they won’t manage, the club and the player will cancel their contract by mutual agreement.
