AC Milan given boost in Aubameyang chase, Biglia reveals squad number

AC Milan are still looking to sign a new centre forward. The rossoneri are being linked with singing Andrea Belotti, Nikola Kalinic and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the latter that has reportedly rejected Borussia Dortmund’s contract extension offer.

The Gabon International will see his current contract expire in 2020 and AC Milan are pushing to sign him even if the German’s director of sport Watzke has recently slammed the rossoneri for the approach they made to sign the 28-year-old.

Sources have told calciomercato.com that AC Milan are open to offer Aubemeyang a contract worth € 8.5 million-a-year plus add-ons which would make the player’s salary raise to € 10 million per year. Aubameyang, a product of AC Milan academy, has requested a € 12 million-a-year deal.

Meantime, the rossoneri have officially presented their 10th summer signing.
Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli have held a press conference with Lucas Biglia who has revealed his squad number for next season. “I’ve chosen the number 12 because Pirlo had worn it before me”, Biglia said.
