AC Milan: good-bye Yanga-Mbiwa. Inter: duel with United for Quintero
As reported earlier today, it had become extremely difficult for AC Milan to sign Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, as their city rivals Inter seemed also interested in the France international: but today the 23 year old has extended until June 2013 his deal with the Ligue 1 defending champions, whose president Louis Nicollin has declared to TMW that now the rossoneri can forget the player. But the Lombard club is already seeking some alternatives, and, as announced this afternoon, its Chief Executive Adriano Galliani is in Spain to try to obtain from Real Madrid one between 34 year old Ricardo Carvalho and 27 year old Raul Albiol, and, according to AS, Milan’s number two has talked today with the Spanish club’s president Florentino Perez about the two defenders, but also about 30 year old star Ricardo Kakà, even if the Brazil international has expressed his will to try an experience in the Major League Soccer. Regarding the possible departures, Santos head coach Muricy Ramalho has declared that his club can’t afford to sign the rossoneri 28 year old forward Robinho, while Oscar Damiani, agent of 17 year old Mbaye Niang, has confirmed to Sky Sports that the Lombard club won’t yield his client.
