AC Milan, Inter given hope in Di Maria pursuit

AC Milan, Inter given hope in Di Maria pursuit

PSG ace Angel Di Maria isn’t enjoying as important a role as he has done in previous seasons in the French capital, and it has led to speculation over his future.

Following the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this past summer, the Parisian giants have quality options in attack.

In turn, that has led to Di Maria being crowded out of the line-up as a regular starter at least, often restricted to appearances off the bench in the Champions League in particular so far this season.

According to L’Equipe, the 29-year-old has rejected a lucrative offer from China and remains open to the idea of moving to Italy, with both AC Milan and Inter interested in the Argentine international.

The Rossoneri have struggled with a lack of pace in the wide positions, while Vincenzo Montella lacks a winger on the left who could allow him to revert back to a 4-3-3 system if desired.

Whether the signing would make as much sense for Inter is questionable, with Luciano Spalletti’s side going well so far this season and a new signing like Di Maria who will expect to start regularly could upset the current balance in the team.
