AC Milan, Montella adds new defender to wishlist

AC Milan will be looking for some defensive reinforcement in the next transfer window and according to calcionews24.com, the rossoneri have set sights on Stefano Denswil of Club Brugge.

The 23-year-old centre-back is being scouted by the Serie A giants that are believed to make contact with the Belgian club soon asking for the services of the highly-rated centre-back whose price-tag could be around € 10 million.

Montella needs to add some depth to his defensive line as Gabriel Paletta and Alessio Romangoli are the only two regular starters for AC Milan with Gustavo Gomez who has failed to impress the aeroplanino so far, whilst Cristian Zapata has yet to recover from an injury.

Denswil has one goal in 14 appearances with Club Brugge this term, including three appearances in Champions League. Born in Zaandam in 1993, Denswil is a U-21 Netherland International he either player as centre defender or left-back.

The signing of a centre midfielder is also a priority for Vincenzo Montella who is looking for a long-time replacement for Riccardo Montolivo who picked up a knee injury earlier this month and will remain out of action for six months at least.
