AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella talked to assembled media on Saturday afternoon sharing his thoughts on the rossoneri summer transfer campaign, especially focusing on the signing of Leonardo Bonucci.

“He is a top class defender. On the technical point of view, I think he is the best one in the world, he’s as good as Sergio Ramos. It’s a dream for me to coach him and that’s why I want to thank Mirabelli and Fassone. There are several captains in my mind, I will talk to the club about this matter.”

“There are many new players, we have a good mix of young and experienced players, some of them are coming from a foreign league, but I hope they’ll settle in well. There are well equipped teams like Juve, Napoli and Roma, I think they are the favourites [for the title].”

“Our target is to qualify for the Champions League, but we have to improve as fast as we can. Every player I’ve known so far is willing to help and share his skills with the rest of the team. The signings of Bonucci and Biglia give us faith for next season."
