AC Milan, Montella hits back at Berlusconi

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella talked to Sky Sport ahead of the game against Inter. The Italian tactician knows the derby clash is a must win for his lads and openly admitted it.

Montella, however, did also hit back at Berlusconi’s criticisms. The former owner of AC Milan had claimed that he wanted to confirm Brocchi and not hire Montella and he also added that he was telling Montella which team to field although the former Samp manager and player ‘never listened to him’.

“He can say anything he wants”, Montella said.

“I always listened to the [ex] president but my job is to make decisions on my own. I like to listen what people tell me and I like to listen to advices. I didn’t like what Berlusconi told me last season but I tried use and put into practice advices of others.”

“I know we had a tough start to the season but we were a bit unlucky too. We are strong enough to qualify for the Champions League. We must have faith.”
