AC Milan transfer news: winger set for contract extension, Mirabelli scout Portuguese midfield star

AC Milan’s Chinese takeover will be completed on the 13th of December, Silvio Berlisconi confirmed yesterday and there are many priorities that new owners will have to focus on immediately after taking control of the club.

As our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports, AC Milan urge to reach agreement with three players over their contract extensions: M’Baye Niang, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Suso.

As for the Spanish winger, the rossoneri are planning to double his salary and include bonuses in it. Suso is on a € 1 million-a-year deal until 2019 and the new contract could see the player extending his stay at the club for two more seasons, until 2021 at least.

Suso wants AC Milan stay and reaching an agreement over his contract extension shouldn’t be an issue at all.

Priorities of new owners, however, do not concern contract extensions only. Vincenzo Montella demands midfield reinforcement and Mirabelli is travelling around Europe to scout the best potential signings.

Mirabelli was in Lisbon earlier this week to watch Sporting CP-Real Madrid. The rossoneri director of sport kept a close eye on Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho who had already offered his services to the Serie A giants in the summer. AC Milan, failed to make a concrete offer in the previous transfer window as agents of Carvalho informed them that Sporting CP want € 35 million to sign the player, whilst his release clause is set to € 45 million.

AC Milan are not open to spend as much despite Carvalho being among Mirabelli’s favourite players. Riechedly Bazoer, who costs around € 20 million, is a more concrete target than his Portuguese counterpart.
