    Agent: ‘Benteke wants Liverpool stay’

The future of Christian Benteke is believed to be far from Anfield Road. The Belgium International failed to live up to expectations last term and Jurgen Klopp doesn’t see the former Aston Villa man as a vital part of the club’s future.

Benteke has been heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace. The South-London club are desperate to sign a new striker after Michy Batshuayi’s snub who has decided to move to Chelsea instead.

Our friends at Teamtalk report that Benteke’s agent has announced that his client want to stay at Liverpool and fight to get first-team football next season.

Benteke is just one year into a five-year deal on Merseyside, which is believed to be worth £120,000 a week and his client has claimed to Sky Sport News that ther is nothing in the rumours linking the 25-year-old with a move to Crystal Palace.

Benteke has been linked with a move to West Ham as well though the Hammers’ priority is the acquisition of Carlos Bacca.
