Agent: Inter, Roma haven't contacted Serie A star, no Napoli progress

Simone Verdi’s agent has denied contacts with Roma and Inter.

Speaking to RomaNews, Donato Orgnoni claimed that the former Milan academy player, who is shining at Bologna, has not been in touch with either side.

“Roma are looking for him? There’s been nothing up till now. I’ve never spoken to Monchi.

“It’s an interest that we’ve only read about in the papers.

“So far, Roma haven’t tried anything.”

Orgnoni also said that Napoli hadn’t made any progress for the former Empoli man, who started at Milan’s academy, but was sold to Torino before returning to Milan, only to be sold again, this time to Bologna, in the summer of 2016 for €1.5 million.

“Nothing is moving at the moment with Napoli, the player is thinking about the current season with the Felsineo [Bologna].

“I don’t think anything will happen in January. We’ve not officially received any offers or been in contact with anyone, not even with Inter.

“The player is happy where he is, we renewed our deal at the end of last season and we’re now tied to Bologna until 2021.”
