Agent of Arsenal target admits Lazio move is possible

Wesley Moraes was a name linked strongly to Lazio over the summer, with the Brazilian Club Brugge forward touted as a potential signing for Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito as they sought to provide Simone Inzaghi with a proper 'vice-Immobile' to provide cover for the prolific Italian forward. Eventually, Lazio failed to meet Brugge's demands and opted to remain faithful in Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo. Despite an improvement this season, Caicedo is still being linked strongly with a move away - as he has almost been since he joined the club in the summer of 2017.

Lazio news website TheLaziali contacted Paulo Nehmy, the agent of Wesley Moraes, about reports from the Corriere dello Sport that suggested that Lazio are once again interested, whilst facing competition the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Chinese Super League clubs. He said: "Lazio never ceased to be interested in [Wesley], but now the club have more competitors"

These comments are a clear indicator that, although Lazio are still a potential destination for the Brazilian, he has many more options now and that Lazio have a much tougher challenge ahead of them if they wish to sign Moraes now, as apposed to during the summer.

Moraes has been a key part of Brugge's side this season and has been one of the Belgian outfit's star performers, hence his turning of heads of some of Europe's top clubs. Wesley is likely to be available for a figure of around €20m - a jump up from the €14m Brugge demanded from the Biancocelesti during the summer. Lazio fans will eagerly await news on Wesley - but as will fans of Arsenal or any of the other clubs linked with the towering Brazilian goalscorer.
