Agent 'optimistic' about Juve nabbing €50m Man United, City target

Douglas Costa’s agent is ‘optimistic’ about a move to Juventus.

Giovanni Branchini spoke to the Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, claiming that the Manchester City and Man United target is likely to move to Turin.

The Bayern Munich striker has almost been an outcast since Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival, barely starting 19 games in all competitions last season.

Branchini also revealed that the Bianconeri have been on the 26-year-old’s case for a long while.

“This will be a decisive week in my opinion,” Giovanni Branchini told the Gazzetta dello Sport, “We’ve been working on the case for 45 days, and I’m optimistic.

We exclusively revealed recently that the Bianconeri have a Kingsley Coman-style deal, where they will bring the Brazilian in on a loan, and buy him after one or two years. They will be obliged to buy, but at least this way they won’t have to fork out the €50 million the Bavarians want for Costa.

Douglas wants to be a part of Brazil’s squad for next summer’s World Cup, and desperately wants to start somewhere.
