Milan, Berlusconi: 'Donnarumma? I would've convinced him to stay at the club'. As for Albertini...

The Gigio Donnarumma sage continues as his Milan future is now even more in doubt compared to last week. Let's not forget that Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola let Milan know this past week that they weren't going to renew his deal with the club (as his current contract expires in 2018). Even so, reports are now suggesting that Donnarumma might be willing to change his decision as he is ready to listen to what Milan have to say.

Here is what ex-Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi had to say on the matter in an interview with Raiuno: " I would try very hard to convince him to stay at Milan. Everyone has to understand that it is a hard decision since him and his family can gain 100 million euros. I am sure many people would act like this. Even so, there are other aspects to look at including the emotinal attachment to the club. I think I am good at convincing people. I would've found a way to keep him at Milan for a little bit before then allowing him to make that big jump...".

Here is what ex-Milan legend Demetrio Albertini has to say to Sky Sport 24 on the matter: "It is different, everything changes with time. Financially speaking it is true that football isn't the same but even so, you can't forget the social value of a club like Milan as well as the fans of the club. It is a difficult situation but I hoped and I still hope that Gigio Donnarumma will stay at Milan, let's see".
