    Amauri: ‘Palermo door still open’

    • Serafino Ingardia

The future of Amauri is still up in the air and the Juventus striker claimed he is still open to an offer from his former team Palermo.

The Brazilian forward is not wanted in Turin and needs to find a new home for January. There are several clubs after the player but his hefty wage makes negotiations even more difficult.

“In my life I have always put at stake everything that I earned financially and on the pitch. For this reason, last January I left a big club like Juventus to move to Parma,” claimed Amauri.

“It wasn’t easy but Parma gave me everything I needed. I could see Palermo in the same way and if there was the opportunity I would be willing to make a sacrifice in order to join them.

“The door for them is still open and it will continue to be so until I turn 38, because at that age I will retire,” concluded Amauri.
