Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli talked to media and explained his decision to omit Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez from the World Cup squad: “I’ve analyzed the situation and I called the most suitable to play in this team. Ansaldi can play on both wings. Players like Icardi, Lautaro, Perotti and Papu Gomez are all very good players and could be part of this team. But I decided to give a call-up to players who have the right qualities for our football.”
