Arsenal chase €36m Porto star, Juventus target

Arsenal look to be back in the market for Yacine Brahimi, according to the latest reports from Correio da Manha (via talksport).

The 27-year-old has scored 28 goals in 117 games for Porto, and is known for being a spectacular, if somewhat inconsistent player.

An Algerian international, Brahimi has long been on Arsenal’s books, while both Everton and West Ham have both expressed an interest too.

The Gunners are very interested, and could be interested in meeting the £31.5 million (€36.5m) price for the winger.

Arsenal need to reinforce their attack, with Alexis Sanchez on his way out and Olivier Giroud unable to impress over the last two seasons.

Juventus had previously expressed an interest in the Algerian, too, having scouted him back in early April, Brahimi being seen back then as an alternative to the injured Marko Pjaca.

Will Arsenal be able to seal the deal? Brahimi still has the chance to play Champions League football with Porto, who are reported to need the money from the transaction.
