Arsenal given boost by AC Milan's unwillingness to meet Czech star's price

Udinese’s prized midfielder Jakub Jankto’s stock has risen over the past months at an astronomical rate. Teams across Europe have enquired about his availability, including AC Milan and Arsenal.

Manuel Gerolin has enjoyed the rising popularity of his star and plans to cash in on him. With so much interest, he’s confident enough to put Jankto’s price tag at €30 million. Now, it appears that AC Milan are unwilling to meet such a price, which leaves Arsenal in the lead to sign the Czech Republic international.

Indeed, Jankto has stated his desire to play in the Premier League.

At only 21-year-old, Jankto has solidified himself as one of the top defensive midfielders in Serie A. Even with his defensive mindset, he still has the ability to push forward and create or score goals. In 11 Serie A matches this year, he’s tallied one and assisted on two others. Similarly, with the Czech national team he’s tallied once in 10 matches, and has added three assists in six World Cup qualifiers.
