Arsenal news: Summer target hints at unhappiness

During the summer, Arsenal looked at the possibility of signing then-Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto. Jankto eventually moved to Sampdoria as cover for Lucas Torreira, who left Sampdoria to join Arsenal. However, Jankto has only started one match for Sampdoria this season, playing just 163 minutes in total, spread across another four substitute appearances.

In an interview with isport.cz, Jankto revealed his unhappiness at Sampdoria after scoring for the Czech Republic against Poland, “I needed to feel a bit of tension, since I do not play much at Sampdoria.” He then added, “to go play on the field, therefore, did well above all to my psyche. I hope that there are many more goals like the one against Poland, I have had several chances in the previous matches.

“The Czech Republic? It has changed a lot with the arrival of the new coach. If you look at the games we played with Jarolim you will notice the chaos in the field, the players did not really know what to do and where to run. With Mr. Silhavy, however, the team has become very compact.”
