Arsenal offer wantaway record €15.5m wages to ward off Chelsea, Man City

Arsenal are set to make a major offer for Alexis Sanchez, according to the Telegraph.

The Premier League side are set to offer the Chilean the biggest pay packet in their history, in an attempt to keep Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich away.

The 28-year-old is set to earn €320.000 a week, or €15.5 million a year. His current deal expires in 2018.

It looked like Alexis’ departure was a slam dunk, with even the Chilean Football Association recently announcing his call-up to the next round of World Cup qualifiers by posting his name next to a Bayern Munich badge.

Bayern Munich recently let it be known that they considered 60m too much for the Arsenal star.

“Our financial philosophy is well known, it’s based on serious and sensible criteria, and I intend to stick to it,” he told Suddeutsche Zeitung.

The Chilean international has scored 30 goals in all competitions for Arsenal, adding 13 assists.
