As Rabiot's Barca move falters; Ajax starlet nears La Liga switch

According to what has been reported by Spanish outlet Sport, all is not right in the deal to bring Adrien Rabiot to Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain. In recent weeks, it has been thought that the deal was all-but complete yet, now, Sport are suggesting that Rabiot's mother-agent is speaking to four other European clubs about a potential move, as his Barca switch hits a potential stumbling block. No cause for concern for Barcelona just yet - as it is still likely the Frenchman will leave Paris for Barcelona when his contract expires in the summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are nearing a deal for Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong - who would likely move to Spain for €75m - the La Liga club beating off competition from Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for the signature.

Barcelona will not be improving their offer to Rabiot; yet there is a confidence from within the club that everything will turn out right and the player will complete the move that was originally intended - giving Barcelona two important midfield signings as they look to rebuild their squad.
