Atletico and Besiktas want to 'share' Chelsea wantaway

Atletico Madrid have a plan to nab Diego Costa, and it involves Besiktas.

The Turkish side was linked to the Spanish international of late, as it looked like they were happy to take him on loan.

According to the latest reports from Fichajes.net, it appears that the two things are interlinked: the Brazilian native is set to go to Besiktas until January, since Atletico aren’t allowed to transfer players until then.

Once the winter transfer window opens, the former Colchonero will rejoin the Liga contenders, something he can do from January 1st, 2018.

The only issue is that Besiktas, as champions of Turkey, will be playing the Champions League, but won’t be able to use Diego Costa in the competition. Otherwise he’ll be cup-tied once he joins the Estadio Metropolitano team.

Costa has been linked to a return to Atletico for a while, but there’s another problem: the Spanish side won’t offer more than €25 million, which is a disappointment for the Stamford Bridge side. Compared to the €80m+ that was being offered by Tianjin Quanjian, it’s inevitably a disappointment.
