Atletico scouted Chelsea target Muriel, Samp prodigy Torreira this weekend
Atletico Madrid’s foray into the Italian football market continues.
According to Genoese newspaper Il Secolo XIX (through TMW), the Colchoneros are interested in signing Chelsea target Luis Muriel, and promising Uruguayan talent Lucas Torreira.
The two have impressed at the Marassi this season, Muriel nabbing six goals and Torreira turning out to be one of the most promising youngsters in Italian football.
The 20-year-old has already played a very high amount of league games this season, already managing 13.
After AS reported that Atletico Madrid’s director of sport, Andrea Berta, was in Turin to watch Juventus, Il Secolo confirmed that he’d also been to the Marassi to watch Genoa, and that he was interested in Torreira and Muriel.
Berta was in Turin to watch Franck Kessie, who has also been pursued by Chelsea and Arsenal.
