Aubameyang opts for China move over Liverpool

Liverpool are set to be snubbed by Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as the Bundesliga forward sets his sights on a move to China.

Reds manager Jürgen Klopp rekindled his side with the Champions League, after a fourth-place finish in the Premier League, and by doing so the German boss has made making a move to Merseyside a massive appeal for some of Europe’s top names.

But it looks like the former-Dortmund bosses’ goal of rekindling himself with the 28-year-old striker has been thwarted, with reports in German publication SportBild via HITC stating that Chinise Super League side Tianjin Quanjian are prepared jump the Dortmund’s set release clause of £63m, by offering £70m for the player, as well as handing Aubameyang a mammoth size £26.5m-a-year salary.

The Gabon international is no stranger to being linked with moves away from his West German club, but there might be some substance in Klopp’s interest in the former-Saint-Etienne player, due their linkage at Dortmund, despite reports suggesting that the pair had a rocky relationship.
