Bad news PSG fans: midfield star wants to stay in Spain

Goncalo Guedes wants to remain at Valencia long-term.

The PSG loanee has enjoyed a tremendous start to the season in La Liga, already scoring three league goals and adding five assists.

Acquired last season by PSG from Benfica, he struggled to get playing time despite his €30 million.

He was sent on loan to Valencia, who have built a team from spare parts, with the loans of Simone Zaza (since acquired), Geoffrey Kondogbia, Jeison Murillo and Guedes himself.

“It is always good that top teams show an interest in my work although I do not know anything about my future,” Guedes told ESPN.

“I do not know what is going to happen [next season] but I would like to remain at Valencia - I am very happy here and I have been treated very well.”

The Portuguese player is considered to be one of the most promising young talents his country has launched of late.
