Ballon d’Or: Juventus attacker makes top 30 list

The 30 candidates to win the Ballon d'Or will be announced today and the first five players have been revealed by France Football on Twitter.

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid star Luka The Croat seems to have an edge on his former team-mate who joined Juventus for € 112 million last summer.

The best player in the Champions League as well as the 'FIFA' the best player and he could become the first player from Ronaldo and Messi to the ballon of the last 11 years.

France Football named the first five nominees for this year's award this morning, with some of the finalists of the last edition of the Champions League as potential winners of the award.

Later on, the French magazine named another 10 players, with the likes of Paulo Dybala from Juventus or Gonzalo Higuain from Milan, not included in the list. However, unsurprisingly, new Bianconeri signing Cristiano Ronaldo made the top 30.

In the evening 5 more players were announced by France Football, with Mario Mandzukic being another player to make the top 30 list along with his World Cup Final opponent Kylian Mbappe.
