Barca's backline in grave danger going forward

Two Barcelona defenders must be cautious when they take on Leganes following the international break. Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are both on four yellow cards, and one against Leganes will mean missing the key matchup with Valencia the week after.

Already without Sergio Roberto and Andre Gomes, Barcelona manager could potentially be without his entire starting backline when they take on the biggest surprise of the La Liga season at Mestalla on November 26th.

As we reported last week, and again today, Barcelona are looking to fortify their backline in the January transfer period. Matthijs De Ligt of Ajax, Stefan De Vrij of Lazio, Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, and Davinson Sanchez of Tottenham have all been shortlisted by the executives at Nou Camp. Of those, De Ligt seems to be the most alluring as his age (18 years old) and price ~€20 million portend to a potentially great value purchase.
